Learn more about this agency Duties Operates vehicles weighing more than 26, 000 pounds, such as trucks, lift trucks, box trucks with lifts, passenger vans, cargo vans, wheelchair buses, passenger shuttle buses. Performs passenger transport to/from various locations. Must adhere to established dress code (white shirt/dark pants) while on official duty hours. Transports equipment, supplies and cargo loading and unloading (up to 70 lbs.) in a safe and responsible manner. Performs Operator maintenance on all vehicles assigned. This position may be covered by one or more of the following bargaining units: American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Local 2782(HQ) or AFGE Local 1438(DN) Qualifications To qualify for the position of Motor Vehicle Operator, at WG-5703-7, you must meet the minimum and/or basic qualification requirements listed below: Driver must possess a valid Class B Commercial driver's license with airbrake, and passenger endorsement. Position is a Testing Designated Position (TED) subjecting applicant to random drug testing. Required to work other than normal tours of duty (morning/late shifts) weekends and holidays. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
