Summary

Duties
You will serve as the functional and technical expert within the organization and be responsible for the organization structure, effectiveness, staffing, and work methods of the Weapons Operation Center (WOC).
You will manage the secure handling, movement, and accountability of strategic assets within a high-stakes operational environment.
You will manage the preparation of various documents, records, and reports to demonstrate compliance with nuclear weapons accountability and control regulations and requirements during movements.
You will serve in a command and control or direct leadership capacity during real-world emergency responses and high-fidelity operational drills.
You will operate integrated security and environmental control platforms, actively monitoring and responding to system alerts from security monitoring systems and HVAC control interfaces to maintain safe and stable facility conditions.
You will manage interpersonal team dynamics by resolving conflicts, addressing performance or behavioral concerns, and fostering a professional, respectful, and collaborative team culture.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience leading and directly supervising a team of technical specialists, conducting formal performance evaluations, managing complex rotating shift schedules, and implementing targeted development plans to close skill gaps and elevate team capability.
* Experience independently identifying systemic inefficiencies, developing and implementing corrective action plans that enhanced safety,
security, and operational efficiency.
* Experience operating and responding to alerts from integrated security and environmental control platforms, actively monitoring and
responding to system alerts from security monitoring systems and HVAC control interfaces to maintain safe and stable facility conditions.

Additional information
This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
This is a Nuclear Deterrent Mission position.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
Several vacancies may be filled.
