Summary
This position is located at multiple Aquatics facilities on Fort Bragg, NC.
Incentives and Bonuses
Incentives will not be paid.
Army NAF paysetting rules apply to this vacancy.
Duties
Performs all types of pool and spray pad maintenance, including checking and adjusting pool chemistry, sweeping down pools, vacuuming, hosing collectors and decks, and cleaning water and deck filters.
Inspects and adjust swimming pool filtration system; inspects, maintains and repairs pool chlorinating system; inspects, maintains and adjusts swimming pool heating system; inspects, lubes and adjusts pumps and motors.
Performs building maintenance work, (cleans boiler and chemical room and washes down locker rooms); performs minor plumbing repair for aquatic facilities (repairs sinks, toilets, faucets and related equipment).
Orders supplies and chemicals for pools, spray pad and building; keeps inventory. Operates a government vehicle to pick up supplies and transport equipment/supplies to various work locations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one-year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
Strenuous physical exertion, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, bending and stooping. Lifting requirements up to 40 pounds and over.
Works in indoor and outdoor environment, exposure to pool chemicals, adverse weather condition and prolonged exposure to sun.
Ability to work an irregular work schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and split shifts.
Qualifications
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Work experience in pool maintenance and general maintenance work. This includes knowledge of automated water quality standards and computer use as relates to automated pool maintenance.

Area of Consideration
This job is open to candidates who is within the Local / Surrounding Commuting Area. NOTE: Local / Surrounding Commuting area is defines as within 50 miles of Fort. Bragg. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

PCS Costs
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Allowances and Differentials
This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be be paid.
