2D Art Lead

In this hands-on, generalist lead role, your primary responsibility will be to design and create non-character game assets such as environments, weapons, items, and more. We're scouting for a creative powerhouse who can infuse our games with visually striking content while adhering to production schedules and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Conceptualization: Utilize your creative prowess to conceive and develop unique concepts for diverse game assets, elevating our games' visual narrative.
• Vendor Management and Production Supervision: Display leadership in managing multiple vendors while ensuring timely production and consistent delivery of high-quality game assets. Adherence to production timelines is key in this role.
• Team Collaboration: Promote a culture of teamwork by closely cooperating with art directors, producers, designers, UI artists, character animators, and tech artists.
• Quality Control: Uphold our high-quality standards by meticulously scrutinizing artwork and making final adjustments, guaranteeing the superior quality of our games.

Desired Qualifications:

• A strong background in illustration or concept art with a proven track record of creating engaging designs.
• Outstanding organizational and communication skills, vital for coordinating with multiple vendors and synchronizing with a diverse team.
• Demonstrated adaptability, with a readiness to learn new tools and the flexibility to contribute across various aspects of game development.
• A relentless commitment to quality, coupled with a refusal to settle for anything less than exceptional.
• In-depth knowledge of Photoshop; some familiarity with Figma would be a plus, as minor UI-related tasks may occasionally come into play.

• Experience in the mobile gaming industry.
• A deep-rooted love for games and popular culture, particularly fantasy and science fiction.
• A refreshing sense of humor and the ability to work with a variety of styles.
• Proficiency in Unity.

Benefits

Salary Range: $125,000 to 170,000

The suggested salary bracket is designed specifically for this open position within the United States. It may not be suitable for other roles or locations. The exact pay will be tailored to factors like the hired individual's experience, their job performance, and the job's location. There is also the possibility for additional bonus pay, but this isn't guaranteed.
