2D Artist

This 2D Artist position is a specialised role that will report to and work closely with the Associate Art Director, producing game art for branded versions of our existing games as well as producing entirely new art for bespoke client games. This is an ideal role for those with branding experience or an interest in branding. When required, this artist may also be asked to work on our other standard library games.

What will you be responsible for?

• Researching and understanding our clients and their brands to better meet their needs and expectations

• Presenting concepts and mock ups within a tight schedule using industry standard tools

• Creating game assets such as:

  • Symbols

  • Backgrounds

  • Characters

  • Features

  • Pop-up banners

  • Characters

• Working with a wide range of art styles including cartoon, realistic, stylised and graphical

• Preparing final assets for animation and / or assembly by following department guidelines

• Brainstorming and collaboration with the greater team

What do we expect from our perfect candidate?

• Highly proficient in working with industry standard tools such as:

  • Adobe Photoshop

  • Adobe Illustrator

• Strong professional level of English

• At least 3 years of experience in the games industry (gambling or non-gambling games, either is good)

• Great illustration skills with a portfolio of 2D assets for games

• Strong design, drawing, color, light, volume, perspective, spatial thinking, composition, basic anatomy knowledge, and good conceptualizing abilities

• Can work well in at least two or more art styles 

• Strong time management skills

• The ability to work quickly, not get bogged down in tiny details or perfectionism

• A desire to constantly challenge themselves and build on their existing skills

• The ability to receive feedback well and implement changes, offer feedback and general work collaboratively

• Resourceful and takes the initiative
