Job Description

Next Phase Solutions and Services, Inc. is seeking Software Engineering Interns to join our team and provide innovative solutions to our clients in the Information Technology and Services industry. As a software engineering intern, you will work closely with our experienced professionals, mentorship teams and learn the skills required to build scalable software systems and deploy them on cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Collaborate with experienced developers to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions.
  • Learn to work with cloud computing technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input that contributes to the success of the project.
  • Identify and fix bugs and performance issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • Basic knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or Subversion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a team player and willing to learn from experienced professionals.

  • This job requires residency in Maryland or Northern Virginia and is partially remote (two days a week).
  • Unfortunately, a fully remote schedule is not available.
