Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at the Pentagon is searching for a Chief for Information & Industrial Security to support S2X (NH-0080-04, GS-14/15 Equivalent).

Ideal Candidate:
The desired candidate would possess working knowledge of the Information Protection program. Additionally, working knowledge of the INDUSEC program would be ideal, ranging from assignments in Acquisition Security to Facility Security Officer (FSO). Candidate must currently possess the DCSA Security Fundamentals Certification or achieve certification within the first two years, upon assignment.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Expert knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies governing IC and DoD information and industrial security and intelligence programs and mastery of security program relationships and dependencies to coordinate an effective security program.
2. Expert knowledge of conducting periodic security reviews, inspections and other security oversight actions to ensure contractor compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and/or other security agreements.
3. In-depth knowledge of Contract Security Specifications and Contractor-Government security relationships.
4. Skill in working with customers to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve problems, and satisfy expectations.
5. Ability to encourage new ideas and innovations; manage human and information resources strategically and build coalitions to achieve common goals.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately within and outside the organization, with commanders, program managers, senior government officials and representatives of industry and academia and the ability to work with all levels of personnel within and outside the component.
7. Ability to organize work, set priorities, and determines resource requirements; determine goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinate with other organizations; monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes.
8. Knowledge of conducting, recording and overseeing security violation investigations and/or associated activity occurring at contractor facilities to include the loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified information/material ensuring appropriate conclusions, identification of culpable individual(s), root cause and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Must be a U.S Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret /SCI security clearance.
Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
PCS / relocation funding is authorized.
This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
Emergency-Essential (E-E), Non-Combat Essential (NCE), Capability-Based Volunteer (CBV) and Key Designated Position Statement: Incumbents on this position may need to be removed from their military recall status.
Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): 60 days a year.

Department of Defense certification, Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Program Integration Professional Certification, conferral are required within 2 years of the established employee entry on duty
This position meets the executive exemption criteria for the Fair Labor Standards Act (5 CFR 551.205).
Short and extensive temporary duty (TDY) assignments worldwide using all modes of commercial and military transportation may be required. Successful performance of duties may require travel 20 to 30 percent of the time.
