Duties
Serves as Director of the Recreation Branch. Develops, maintains, plans, and administers Recreation programs, activities, and facilities. Performs as project manager for special one-time assignments as directed.
Within the established Community Recreation Division (CRD) policies and objectives, manages and develops plans for Recreational Program (e.g., Sports, Auto Crafts, BOSS, and Soldier Center).
Plans and coordinates the details of activities, special events, and joint community undertakings such as: Hosting athletic events, sports tournaments, open houses and grand openings, soldier appreciation day and summer task force troop support.
Budgets for equipment, supplies, and services. Develops administrative safeguards to protect funds, equipment, and property. Accounts for all funds involved in recreational programs. Develops annual budget requirements.
Performs the full range of supervisory duties and applies EEO principles to all aspects of personnel management. Establishes Performance Standards and evaluates performance of subordinates.
Provides guidance and leadership to all recreation branch staff. Performs other duties as assigned.

A one-year probationary period may be required for this position.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278e) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450) upon entry, and annual thereafter.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Directly related progressive work experience directing one or more recreations programs that provided knowledge of the goals, principles, methods and techniques of recreation and an understanding of the interest of individuals or groups and managerial experience of the caliber described above. Experience must have been equivalent to the next lower pay level.

PCS Costs
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.
Allowances and Differentials:
This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
