The primary purpose of this position is to provide senior executive administrative services directly supporting the 96th Mission Support Group Commander. Ensures daily operations comply with the policies of the Group Commander, and to support the Group Commander, Deputy Group Director, and Deputy Group Commander with a variety of executive administrative functions.
Duties
Serves as the Executive Administrator for the Commander and, as such, as a liaison between the Commander's office and subordinate organizations regarding all administrative management functions
Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs
Lead for all administrative processes
Handles all protocol duties for the Group working directly with the 96 Test Wing
Prepares executive correspondence and reviews staff documents for the Group Commander's signature
Establishes procedures for execution of command decisions and ensures headquarters policies and are staffed, documented, and implemented
Represents the Commander in interaction with other agencies of all levels

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative Officer Series 0341 located here.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 3 years of general experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 level or equivalent in other pay systems. General experience demonstrates the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work.
NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
OR
EDUCATION: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to various administrative support functions
Knowledge of conventional analytical and evaluative methods and techniques
Expert knowledge of protocol principles, methods, practices, and precedence
Skill in analytical and evaluative techniques
Skill in written and oral communications
Ability to plan and organize work-efforts and negotiate effectively with all levels of management to accept and implement recommendations
Ability to research, analyze, interpret, and apply regulations, policies, and procedures
Ability to maintain good working relationships and to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy
Expert knowledge of regulations governing military performance reports, decorations, promotions, and disciplinary actions
Ability to meet and work with AFMC, AFTC, 96 TW, 96 MSG customers and organization elements at all grade levels using a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
Ability to effectively represent the organization and to maintain cooperative relations with all contacts
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
