Carilion Clinic is searching for an enthusiastic general Cardiologist to practice in Rocky Mount, VA. The cardiology practice is located within Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital, a 37 bed facility, and works closely with two well-established primary care practices which together include 7 physicians and 3 nurse practitioners.  The successful applicant will be supported by a large academic cardiology practice at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital a 703-bed acute-care academic medical center approximately 30 minutes from Rocky Mount. The successful applicant would help support a Carilion-employed general cardiologist in nearby Martinsville VA during vacation and other times away, and the cardiologist in Martinsville would reciprocate this support. Required qualifications include board certification or eligibility in cardiovascular disease and echo and nuclear skills. Pacemaker experience is a plus and we would also consider an invasive, non-interventional trained cardiologist. Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital is a regional healthcare facility offering diagnostic, medical and surgical services in a customer friendly atmosphere. The hospital has an Emergency Room that is home to Lifeguard11, Carilion Clinic’s Emergency Air Medical Transport which primarily serves the Franklin County community to include Smith Mountain Lake. The Franklin Memorial Medical Staff a broad spectrum of both medical and surgical specialties locally.
