Musculoskeletal MSK Radiology Physician - West Chicago Suburbs

Join a growing Radiology Department of over 50 subspecialized radiologists Candidates must be Board Certified in Radiology and fellowship-trained in Musculoskeletal Radiology (MSK) Exhibit strong clinical skills to work effectively and efficiently across the full spectrum of imaging modalities/procedures relevant to MSK imaging. This is an on-site position with participation in interventional procedures including MRI, CT, joint injection/aspiration, bone marrow sampling, and soft tissue/bone biopsy Practice setting is hospital-based 8000-9000 RVU expectation 5-90% plain film, 10-15% CT/MR 2 Types of Call: Weekday 4pm-11pm call from home (only with no day shifts on those days) about on average once a week. Also, weekend call about 7 calls per year. Intermittent evening shift and weekend call duties are fulfilled remotely from home with fully functional PACS/Voice recognition systems. In addition to clinical work, strong interest in clinical and formal resident education is essential. Average Number of Cases Per Day: Mix plain film and cross sectional. 110 xrays, 20 MRIs/CT/Ultrasound Trauma Level/Designation: Loyola = Trauma 1, MNH and GMH = Trauma 2 Number of Radiologists in Practice: Specific to MSK is 4.8 FTEs, in department 41 FTE Teleradiology is not used for MSK Patient Age Demographic: All ages, but pediatrics not required There are opportunities for clinical and translational research if interested. Consideration may be given for appointment as Section Chief for the appropriate candidate.
