Learn more about this agency Duties You will perform minor construction and repair on the interior and exterior of buildings. You will locate and make repairs to plumbing such as sections of broken pipe, water heaters, disposal, pipes, faucets, and shower drains. You will complete painting duties by preparing surfaces, mix and prepare coating material, and apply coating materials. You will utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. The Screen-out Element for this position is: the ability to do the work of the position without normal supervision performing common tasks including performing carpentry, plumbing, and painting worker duties in the installation, modification, and repair of buildings, structures, and other construction projects. Education Additional information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Several vacancies may be filled.
