Summary About the Position: This position serves as a Cost Analyst, DE-0501-03 with Army Futures Command located in Redstone Arsenal, AL or Adelphi, MD. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time. Appointment to this position may be subject to a three year probationary/trial period. This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing and participation in random drug testing. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1.) Developing policies, procedures, and plans or result in unique products that provide tools or resources for broad application and are significant to the success of key mission programs; 2.) Skill in cost analysis and cost estimation to integrate information from various financial management systems and develop cost and budget information for the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and beyond.; 3.) Functional knowledge of program life cycle acquisition management functions such as Acquisition Program Management, Contracting, Budget and Execution, Logistics, and Operation and Sustainment as it relates to cost estimates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-02 / GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, no substitution of experience is allowed.
