Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the 31 Force Support Squadron, La Bella Vista Club, Aviano AB, Italy. This position may provide logistical support. Relocation expenses and Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) will not be offered. This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 31st Force Support Squadron at Aviano AB, Italy. Learn more about this agency Duties Monitors operations of a club or assigned area, normally during absence of the manager and assistant manager, and normally at night or on weekends. Responsible for issue, receipt and control of cash boxes. Prepares a report of all significant occurrences during the shift. Reviews the schedule of functions that are to take place during the assigned shift and ensures they are carried out as planned by management. Ensures that only authorized personnel use the facility, and that club rules, regulations and established procedures are followed. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Provides instruction and guidance to all club staff members on functions taking place during the shift. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. Performs other related duties as assigned. This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience which provides knowledge of club, restaurant, and retail operation. Must also possess experience which provides knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations such as; receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and use of cash accountability control methods. Must have experience which demonstrates ability to provide work direction to other club employees and knowledge of fire, safety, and health regulations. Must be able to communicate with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public. Must meet specific physical requirements, possess the ability to lift and carry a minimum of 45 lbs. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit. Probationary period may be required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from hiring preferences and priority consideration eligible.
