Summary About the Position: The U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY is an academic institution located in the Hudson River Valley, 50 miles from New York City. GS-08: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) assisting in creating, curating, and/or managing published content for an organization; 2) assisting with writing, editing, and/or crafting content for an organization's social media sites; and 3) utilizing media software systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). GS-09: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) assisting in creating, curating, and/or managing published content for an organization; 2) assisting with writing, editing, and/or crafting content for an organization's social media sites; 3) utilizing media software systems; and, 4) determining administrative preparations and/or requirements for departmental conferences and/or special activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
