HIV Vaccine Research Scholarship Opportunity for Medical Students - Domestic and International Projects
Job Description
The development of a safe and effective HIV vaccine is one of the greatest biomedical research challenges of our time. The HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN) will be accepting applications starting on October 1, 2024, for Research and Mentorship Program (RAMP) Scholar Grants to attract medical students who want to make a difference in their communities and contribute to the development of an effective HIV vaccine.
Program Highlights
• 8 -10-week research projects
• Research areas include basic, clinical, behavioral, laboratory and social science
• Structured mentorship by HVTN investigator(s)
• Travel to an HIV Vaccine Clinical Research Site
• Opportunity for domestic or international travel
• Attendance at an HVTN Conference(s)
• Oral and poster presentations and potential for publication
• Opportunity to return as a RAMP Alumni
Program Resources
• Funding for short-term projects
• Funding includes scholar salary and travel, project materials, and mentor stipend
• HIV vaccine research expertise
• Webinars throughout the year
• Professional development workshop at the conclusion of the program
• Manuscript writing workshops
• Funding for courses and to attend non HVTN conferences
