Summary This position is located within Commander, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program, Naval Air Station Oceana The purpose of this position is to repair and maintain golf course equipment and vehicles. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment Must pass all applicable records and background check. Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. This position is subject to an irregular tour of duty which may include weekends and holidays. Qualifications Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. A qualified candidate must possess: Must have a complete knowledge of mechanics, be familiar with hydraulics and transmissions, and be able to trouble-shoot and repair equipment and vehicles. Must have two (2) years documented experience as a mechanic for full performance level. Must be able to plan work and follow complex repair manuals and diagnose repairs required. Must be able to operate a wide variety of specialized tools, both light and heavy, necessary for the maintenance and repairs (i.e., drill press, electric/acetylene welders, engine analyzer, valve grinder, voltmeter, multimeter, reel grinder, tire changer, battery charger etc.). Education This position does not have a positive education requirement. Additional information Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Commander, Navy Installations Command is a Drug-Free Federal Workplace. The use of illegal drugs will not be tolerated, and use of or intoxication by illegal drugs will result in penalties up to and including removal from Federal Service.
