Job Description
Summary
About the Position: This position operates within the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) Testing Section to ensure testing is administered in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and United States Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM) Military Personnel Testing Program policies and procedures.
Positions listed with multiple grades may be filled at any grade level and may or may not have promotion potential.
This is a permanent position.
Duties
Train subordinates on proper test score data entry techniques.
Resolve test score inconsistencies or problems.
Enter validated test score into automated systems.
Prepare reports on the testing program for management.
Review test scores for validity and consistency.
Oversee test security, control, and storage procedures.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Regular evening and weekend work is required.
Frequent local travel and occasional Temporary Duty (TDY) required.
Position requires TDY business travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
Must possess and/or obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes 1)Performing data entry into automated systems; 2) conducting inventories of controlled materials; 3) utilizing a variety of office automated equipment; AND 4) conducting inventories of controlled materials. This experience is typical of the work performed at the next lower grade/equivalent (GS-05).
Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Conducting aptitude and qualification testing of applicants; 2) Providing oral instructions to groups of people; 3) Managing the security and accountability of testing materials; AND 4) Utilizing a variety of office automated equipment. This experience is typical of the work performed at the next lower grade/equivalent (GS-06).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Additional information
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
One year trial/probationary period may be required.
Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
