**Orthopedic Surgery Opening in Maine - J1 eligible** -Located in ***Millinocket, ME*** - 71 miles north of Bangor, ME. -Full time, permanent opening. -Employed. -Located in the Katahdin Region at the base of Baxter State Park, hospital has an opportunity for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon. -We welcome a fellowship trained Physician who wants to practice general Orthopedics as well as Sports Medicine. **About the Opportunity** -This position requires the Orthopedic Surgeon to provide both office and surgical services at two hospitals within the Katahdin Region. Requirements and responsibilities include: physical examination, diagnose and surgical treatment of musculoskeletal diseases and sports-related injuries; perform surgical intervention to immobilize fractures by using such devices as braces, pins, casts and splints; and perform surgical procedures including total hip and total knee replacements, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, fracture repair, tendon repair, sports medicine, and carpal tunnel procedures.
