Summary This position is located in Keweenaw National Historical Park, MW Division performing various masonry tasks in the stabilization and rehabilitation of structures. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for is April - October but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties; a valid driver's license is required. You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record. You must also submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you. You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work. Physical Demands: Incumbent often lifts objects weighing over 50 pounds, unassisted. The incumbent frequently stands while working and must frequently climb ladders and scaffolds from 6 to 30 feet. Bending, stooping, climbing and working in awkward positions are regularly required. Working Conditions: The incumbent is exposed to a variety of weather conditions while working outdoors and is subject to danger of falling when working from ladders and scaffolds. They may be exposed to dust and dirt while mixing mortar, removing damaged portions of walls, and while handling various masonry materials. Frequently works around heavy equipment and vehicles.
