Locums Psychiatry Physician

We are seeking a skilled Locums Psychiatry Physician to provide inpatient psychiatric care at a facility in Davenport, IA. The position requires a Monday through Friday schedule, roughly from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no evening or weekend call responsibilities. The physician will round in the mornings and, every third day, take a turn managing all hospital calls and consults during shift hours. There is no call required outside of regular business hours.The facility has a total of 18 beds for adults and 5 beds for adolescents. The average number of patients seen per day ranges from 5 to 12. The role involves treating a variety of disorders, including Anxiety Disorders, Affective Disorders, ADD/ADHD, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Developmental Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, and Organic Disorders. The provider must be familiar with various therapeutic modalities such as Family Therapy, Restraint Application, Group Therapy, Pharmacotherapy, Seclusion Therapy, Voluntary Commitments, and Emergency Room consultations. Requirements:·         Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry·         Valid Iowa medical license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)·         Inpatient psychiatric experience is required·         Experience treating patients ages 6 and up is essential·         2+ years of inpatient psychiatry experience is highly preferred Davenport, IA, is a charming city located along the Mississippi River, offering a mix of cultural, recreational, and educational opportunities.
