Endocrinology opening in IL Located in Quincy St Louis 2hr; Kansas City 3hr; Springfield IL 1hr 45m Full-time; permanent Seeking an additional Endocrinologist to its 300+ provider group, because of the documented difficulty by primary care physicians and case managers in our community in getting their patients particularly diabetics in to see an endocrinologist in a timely fashion. The group currently has one endocrinologist, but he will be relocating soon due to family reasons. There is one endocrinologists in the community with another group, and 4 total in the market area, which compares to a recommended level of 5.4 to serve a population our size. With more than 60 primary care providers within Health System providing referrals along with several case managers, the potential for a well-trained specialist with good communication and patient satisfaction skills to build a robust practice is extremely high. Health System has a comprehensive Diabetes Clinic which offers additional consultation opportunities for an Endocrinologist.
