Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of vacancies through the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base. Duties
You will acquire, maintain, control, store, replace, issue, inventory, and deliver tooling for FRCSW North Island.
You will be responsible for conducting, implementing and identifying specific requirements for internal programs consistent with the activities mission for Tool Control Program.
You will provide information briefings on past, current, and future program activities as required to the Commanding Officer, and other officials such as those representing the facility.
You will maintain ongoing surveillance of implemented programs and take corrective actions needed to ensure program integrity.
You will implement actions that are developed through committee actions and by personal innovation resulting from the exercise of initiative and thorough knowledge of the latest developments in Tool Control.
You will assist in developing recommendations to implement designated Special Projects internally or with a specific agency, and ultimately, provide coordination and oversight of the Special Project with the agency performing the work.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

This is a bargaining unit position.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
For the GS-07 Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing inventory management in a tool room environment or a similar industrial inventory management setting; 2) Providing technical and programmatic support in the areas of process development, data interpretation, research, and analysis; 3) Independently requisitioning tools and supplies; and 4) Resolving routine problems and deviations in accordance with the Tool Control Instructions, policies, or accepted practices.
For the GS-05 Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate the ability to: 1) Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) Plan and organize work; and 3) Communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Education
For the GS-07 Level:
Successful completion of one full year of graduate level education
OR
A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of education plus the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
For the GS-05 Level:
Successful completion of a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of education plus the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
