Summary
About the Position: You will serve as supervisor of the maintenance staff. Exercise full supervisory responsibility for the control of work operations involving approximately 11 permanent and temporary employees.

The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
Must obtain/maintain a forklift license.
Must obtain/maintain a USACE motorboat operator license.
Must obtain/maintain a valid CPR/First Aid certificate.
Must wear a prescribed uniform.
May be required to work weekend/night work schedule.
May be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random drug testing.
A one year supervisory probationary period may be required.
THIS IS A MISSION ESSENTIAL POSITION. You will continue to perform essential functions during contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather situations or other emergency situations.
A pre-employment physical examination is required.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to Supervise. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
Uses moderate physical effort to stack, load, unload, move and carry tools, equipment and materials up to 40 lbs unassisted. Occasionally lifts heavier objects with assistance (e.g., using a hand truck). Required to reach, walk, stand, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Occasionally works in cramped quarters, or from ladders, scaffolds or platforms.
Work is performed inside and outside in all types of weather (e.g., heat, cold, rain, wind, etc.) and usually in a dirty, dusty and/or greasy environment. Incumbent is exposed to the possibility of broken bones, electrical shocks, burns, cuts, bruises, maimed fingers and scrapes. Occasionally is required to wear uncomfortable protective clothing.

You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
One year probationary period may be required.
