The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will work in a high-tech, agile, challenging, and fun work environment. You will be challenged daily on exciting large-scale projects with all the latest technologies. Day-to-day work follows an agile scrum team approach to developing leading edge cloud-based software. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Protecting our environments by ensuring they are following 3M security best practices
• Working with teams to Improve the deployment and reliability of our infrastructure and applications
• Optimizing resource utilization to capture savings and reduce waste
• Implementing configuration changes for infrastructure, applications, tenants, and users
• Participating in an on-call rotation and after-hours deployments

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

OR

• High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and eleven (11) years of experience in the IT field

• Five (5) years of experience in software engineering and/or Server Administration
• Experience with Linux operating system and command line

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include experience with:

• Experience implementing and optimizing Kubernetes for large-scale hosted applications
• Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Containerization & Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Amazon EKS Anywhere)
• Infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible)
• Large-Scale Messaging & Data (Kafka, Cassandra, ElasticSearch)
• Scripting languages (bash, python, go)
• Experience deploying to GovCloud

Travel: Occasional travel may be required

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Location: Remote USA
