Summary
Position is within the Air Traffic Organization, Technical Operations, and reports to the District System Support Centers. Serves as a Maintenance Mechanic that accomplishes routine and emergency repair, evaluation, and installation of buildings and structures, facilities, and grounds maintenance. Incumbent has working knowledge in at least one of the areas of carpentry, electrical, mechanical, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), or plumbing trades.

Qualifications
To qualify, no specific length of experience or training is required; however, you must show evidence of experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality that demonstrates your ability to perform the duties of a journey person Maintenance Mechanic in your resume.
Quality Ranking Factor: A well-qualified applicant will possess a Journeyman/Masters license in any of the following trades: Electrical, Plumbing, Heating HVAC. A license in one of these trades can significantly enhance performance in this position, but is not essential for satisfactory performance. If you have possession of one of these licenses, please provide a copy in your application.
Screen-Out Element: This is a Screen-Out Element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-Out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of a Maintenance Mechanic without more than normal supervision which includes your demonstrated ability to independently provide mechanical maintenance to one or more of the following: electrical systems, engine generators, and/or heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units; and experience in emergency and routine repairs of facilities. Your resume must reflect your demonstrated abilities listed in the Screen out Element.
In addition to the minimum qualifications, Other Factor number 1 has been determined to be a screen-out element for this position. This means possession of this criterion is part of the minimum qualifications and is essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Applicants who do not possess this criterion are ineligible for further consideration.
