Qualifications You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Using a computer and appropriate software to gather and analyze data, prepare presentations, and prepare audit work papers; AND - Conducting opening and exit conferences to present findings and recommendations; AND - Documenting results in audit reports with appropriate summaries, conclusions and recommendations; AND - Isolating and identifying conditions affecting financial management, susceptibility to fraud, and the potential for increased efficiency. Education Degree: auditing; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, public administration or accounting. or Combination of education and experience: at least 4 years of experience in Performance Auditing, or an equivalent combination of performance auditing experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional auditing knowledge. The applicant's background must also include one of the following: - A certificate as a Certified Internal Auditor or a Certified Public Accountant, obtained through written examination; or - Completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial course work in auditing or accounting, e.g., 15 semester hours. The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency. Refer to the OPM instructions.
