Learn more about this agency Duties You will recognize the need for improvements to Master Clock and time transfer electronics systems, subsystems, components, connections, and their associated electrical power systems; and design, modify, build, assemble, repair, and maintain them. You will physically install electronic circuits and cables, moving equipment and clocks, general maintenance, and similar work. You will assist the different time transfer divisions with respective missions. You will recognize the need for new techniques, particularly of electronic nature, and develop them using nonstandard theory, taking into account the complex dependencies between the Master Clock and other time transfer systems and subsystems. Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim a Top Secret with SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications FOR THE GS-12: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying skills with electrical test equipment, electrical system installation, electrical system maintenance and troubleshooting electronics systems. Experience independently recognizing improvements to Master Clock and time transfer electronic systems, subsystems, components, connections, and their associated electrical power and HVAC systems. Experience assisting with different time transfer techniques including Two-way Satellite Time Transfer and GPS. Experience maintaining electronics associated with atomic frequency standards, including cesium and masers with no technical guidance. Experience in HVAC system repair and maintenance with no technical guidance. Experience in Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and generator system maintenance with no technical guidance FOR THE GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying skills with electrical test equipment, electrical system installation, electrical system maintenance and troubleshooting electronics systems.
