Duties
Analyzes program content, develops, plans and sets milestones to determine consistency with semi-annual, annual and long-range objectives.
Establish and maintains accurate and complete records concerning trainee education as required by the ACGME/RC.
Ensure GME programs are compliant Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Institutional and program-specific Review Committee (RC) requirements.
Analyze program content and develop both short and long-term plans.
Represent Program Director(s) of the GME Program(s) at meetings attended by representatives of the Sponsoring Institutions, DHA GME, DoD agencies.
Interpret regulations, policies, guidance, and course directives.
Devise time-phased strategic and/or operational support plans for the planning and coordination of GME program objectives.
Compose correspondence and reports, prepares memoranda, agendas, schedules, contract, and course materials for all trainees and medical students.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
A pre-placement medical examination is required.
This position may require rotating shifts (i.e. work schedule that requires employees to continuously rotate from one shift to another at predetermined intervals).
This position may require the incumbent to work weekends and/or holidays.
This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Experience Administering administrative programs in support of a Medical Education Program, Coordinating training rotations with external organizations for appropriate training, Developing estimates to support budget planning, Using database to maintain training information, Providing report for evaluation of trainee status.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Medical Education, Medical Administration, and/or Healthcare Administration field(s) of study.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
