TeamHealth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate hospitalist admitting physician to join our dynamic team at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, Georgia. As a hospitalist, you will play a vital role in the care of our admitted patients, working closely with specialists, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes. Our team at St. Mary's serves as the core teaching faculty for an internal medicine (IM) residency program, so if you are passionate about teaching, this position is a great fit for you! We can sponsor J-1 and H-1B Visas at this location so Visa clinicians are welcome to apply. Responsibilities:Perform initial assessments and admissions of patients from the emergency department or direct transfersCollaborate with consulting physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient careConduct thorough history and physical examinations upon admissionDevelop treatment plans and update families on patient progressQualifications:MD or DO from an accredited medical schoolBoard-certified or board-eligible in internal medicine (IM) or family medicine (FM)Active medical license to practice in GeorgiaStrong communication and organizational skillsShift Details:Admitting shift is 12 hours from 10am to 10pmSchedule is 7 days on and 7 days offNo outpatient duties or call requiredInterested in learning more?
