Learn more about this agency Duties You will establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plan work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by higher level supervisors. You will observe work in progress to anticipate and resolve problems, reassign personnel, and coordinate work among workers and other supervisors. You will recommend restructuring positions when necessary to achieve the most effective and economical utilization of personnel. You will exercise technical and administrative supervision in accomplishing trades and labor work in the roads/grounds of the facilities maintenance section You will manage the workforce assignment engaged in repair, installation structure, and/or maintenance including general labor, engineering equipment operation, crane operation, small engine repair, motor vehicle/truck operations, etc. Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a US Citizen. This position requires rotating shift work. You will be required, to train and/or guide lower graded employees in performance of duties. You will be required to possess and maintain a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License- including air brake endorsement and a government driver's license at all times. Training for the government driver's license will be provided by the government. Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
