Museum Technician (Visitor Experience Representative )

Learn more about this agency Duties This position assists visitors and staff by offering exceptional customer service and treating everyone in a welcoming, respectful, tactful and professional manner.  As a Museum Technician, you will: Demonstrate knowledge of Gallery floor plans, including layout of collections/exhibitions, restaurants, gift shops and entrances/exits.  Keep informed of the Gallery’s calendar of events, service tools, special events and daily offerings. Demonstrate strong understanding of the neighborhood and other amenities that would benefit both local visitors and tourists from around the world. Check coats and other personal items in checkrooms. Answers incoming calls to gallery phone lines. Provide access control for general admission and other events or special exhibitions. Reserve passes and event reservations. Assist with data entry and clean-up, preparing museum mailings, training incoming employees, responding to online correspondence.
