Summary

About the position: This position is located at Lodging, RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom.
Leads lodging quality assurance and training efforts through inspections and review of guest feedback
Ensures compliance with Air Force lodging standards across all operations
Works with supervisors and leadership to enhance service quality and support lodging operations
Duties
Develops and manages the Quality Assurance Evaluation schedule and conducts inspections of rooms, facilities, and common areas to ensure compliance with Air Force lodging standards.
Reviews guest feedback and inspection data, identifies trends, and recommends corrective actions to improve service quality.
Updates guest room materials, directories, safety instructions, and signage to maintain accuracy and consistency.
Oversees all lodging training programs, including certification tracking, in-house training, study groups, and coordination with the Lodging Educational Institute.
Collaborates with supervisors to assess training needs and ensure programs meet Air Force Lodging Accreditation requirements.
Coordinates budgets for training, staff development, incentives, and recognition programs.
Evaluates training effectiveness and adjusts programs to address performance gaps across lodging operations.

This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
This position requires the incumbent to be available for shift work to include weekends and holidays.
This position is open to applicant on PCS orders to the UK (military or civilian), or who have a current UK Work visa.

The area of consideration for this vacancy announcement:
Citizens, permanent residents, and legal residents of the United States (US) who reside within the local commuting area (60-mile radius) of RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom (UK), or will do so within the next 30 days.
Permanent and legal residents of the US must be citizens of a NATO country, unless authorized to reside in the UK as a dependent of an employee who serves in support of the US Visiting Forces.
Eligible applicants must possess a US-issued social security number and be able to provide documentation proving residency status in the UK.
Applicants cannot be 'ordinarily resident'. A person is considered to be 'ordinarily resident' if they have resided in the United Kingdom (UK) for more than 366 days without an affiliation to the US Visiting Forces. Time spent in the UK as an employee, or dependent of an employee, of a US agency serving and supporting the US Visiting Forces (i.e., active duty military, federal civilian, AAFES, Red Cross, one of the contract universities, a military banking facility or federal credit union, or US government contractors) is not counted toward being 'ordinary resident'. In accordance with the Status of Forces Agreement between the US and the UK, British citizens may not apply for US NAF positions; however, they may be eligible to apply for local national positions on base.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Experience in the operational management of a civilian or military lodging program, demonstrating understanding of lodging standards, procedures, and service expectations.
Supervisory or team-lead experience in at least one lodging functional area (e.g., housekeeping, guest services), showing the ability to direct staff, manage workflow, and oversee daily operations.
Demonstrated skills in team building, customer service, staff scheduling, financial management, and human resources, reflecting the ability to support and guide lodging personnel.
Experience that shows potential and capability to train others, including developing or delivering training, mentoring staff, or supporting professional development.
A bachelor's degree in hospitality or business is desired but not required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background check.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of suitibuily and fitness for the psotion.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
