NeuroCritical Care Nurse Practitioner

Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join a NeuroCritical Care team on a locum tenens basis in Boston, MA. Rotating shift, generally with three to four 12-hour shifts per week to average 40 hours in total, balanced across days, nights, and weekends. As part of the neurocritical care team, you will provide care for both neurology and neurosurgery patients in the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit.Compensation: Competitive compensation and reimbursement for travel.Qualifications: Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Massachusetts. Responsibilities:Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute neurological conditions in a NeuroCritical Care setting.Participate in patient care as part of a multidisciplinary neurocritical care team, including attending physicians, fellows, residents, and other APPs.Rounding with the critical care team to discuss and coordinate patient care, including patient histories, comprehensive physical examinations, and consultations with other specialties.Implement treatment plans and communicate them to patients and families, providing follow-up and education as needed.Perform inpatient consultations and maintain detailed and accurate medical records.Perform procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, intubation, lumbar punctures, and other similar tasks.Staple/suture removal and placementWound care and packingNGT (Nasogastric Tube) placementLumbar drain placement and removalSpine braces and cervical collar placement and removal Additional Information: - Specialty: Nurse Practitioner - Location: Boston, Massachusetts - Contact: AAS Healthcare Staffing About the Company: AAS Healthcare Staffing, a national Permanent Provider Staffing and Locum Tenens partner, leverages over a decade of expertise to meet healthcare providers’ and healthcare delivery clients’ needs.
