**Emergency Medicine Opening in NH** Located in Berlin, NH. Full Time & Permanent Position. **Responsibilities** Seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine boarded physician to join an established EM group at a northern NH Critical Access Hospital. Experienced Family Medicine physicians may be considered. -6-24hr shifts per month, 8a-8a -ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATLS are required. -Experience in CAH preferred -Provide care for patients of all ages in an ED with 9 beds: 6 private rooms, 1 exam with 2 bays (curtains) for minor surgery, and 1 trauma room. -Annual volume 8,200 patients (less during COVID-19 pandemic). -Volume of patients per day ranges from 15 to 40; average 22-23 patients. -Approximately 16% of patients are admitted, and 2.3% are transferred to a higher level of care. Payer mix over last 3 years has been 33.8% Medicare, 23.1% Medicaid, 37.6% commercial, and 5.5% self-pay/other. Recent age distribution (12/21 to 3/22) was 6.5% birth to age 5, 8.7% age 6-17, 58.2% age 18-64, 15.9% age 65-79, and 10.7% age 80+. -One APP in also on currently from 12-8p, provided by returning locum APRN and PAs - full-time model recruitment to begin soon. -EM physician leads codes for inpatients in conjunction with hospitalist. -Hospitalist and respiratory on-site 24/7 -Anesthesia, General Surgery, OBGYN, Orthopaedics, on call 24/7 (other services on call specific days or by phone only) -TelePsych, TeleNeuro, TeleICU, TeleED -EMR- Meditec **Experience required** -Prefer EM physician with at least 3 years of experience, including some in a small hospital or CAH. -Must be comfortable with rural nature of ED/hospital, solo coverage, and limited number of specialists on call. -Prefer physician resides within 1 hour of AVH. -H1-B and J-1 visa candidates will be considered if excellent communication skills.
