Summary

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the excepted service which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
- Providing specialized program schedule analysis support utilizing the critical path method, applying predictive measures to forecast current delivery status;
- Providing Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis, integrating schedule changes with cost changes to understand impacts to the program's cost and schedule position;
- Participating in Integrated Baseline Reviews, and planning, reviewing, and analyzing acquisition contract data reporting for major defense weapon systems programs.
- Providing independent EVM and Schedule analysis support directly to program offices, understanding policy and procedures for EVM and Schedule analysis, presenting analyses to managers, consolidating information into portfolios, and reviewing products to ensure that they meet quality standards.
