Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician

We are seeking a Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for an assignment in Sioux City, IA. This position involves 24-hour call coverage from 7:00 am to 7:00 am, with weekend and on-call duties included. The physician will be responsible for inpatient rounds, with an average of one case per day and the possibility of handling emergencies. *TAVR days are scheduled for Wednesdays.The hospital is a Level 2 Trauma Center with 120+ beds and 24 ICU beds. The role includes managing 14 clinic patients per day and 6 hospital patients per day, with an average of 10 trauma cases and 2 elective cases per day. The facility has 2 dedicated CVOR rooms, a dedicated CVOR team, an APP to manage inpatients and clinic follow-ups, and a dedicated clinic nurse.The patient demographic consists primarily of adults, and the EMR system used is Cerner. Requirements: Board CertifiedActive DEAIowa medical license.  Sioux City offers a close-knit medical community, providing a professional environment with opportunities to work in a well-equipped hospital and collaborate with a supportive team.
