This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Military Rank: Enlisted (Min E3) National Guard Membership is required. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Must have a valid state driver's license. Must be able to obtain NIPR system access. Must be able to complete state vehicle training. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Medical screening will be completed upon selection for hire. Soldiers who accept a technician position may be terminated from the Bonus and Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP). Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required. The duties and responsibilities of the job may significantly impact the environment. The incumbent is responsible to maintain awareness of environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, the organization, and its changing mission. Must successfully complete the Inter-service Range Safety Course (Intermediate) or the RangeSafety Course Level II course. Minimum Requirements: Experience, education, or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Have at least 1 year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the GS-0301-7 grade level. (Submit SF 50 to validate response) OR Experience in any position that required compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Applicants must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled.
