Job Description
Summary
You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Engineering and Test Directorate supporting the fabrication, assembly, testing, maintenance, and repair of facility ground support systems (cryogenic, fluid, electrical, structural, etc.) required to perform propulsion test activities at Stennis Space Center (SSC). These ground support systems are essential to the Center's efforts to support the Agency's Artemis efforts.

Duties
Actively participates in the planning and execution of fabrication/logistics activities at the test and support facilities at Stennis Space Center (SSC).
Routinely interfaces with external suppliers to ensure technical requirements and delivery schedules are maintained during procurement activity.
Assists engineering staff in accomplishing tasks on SSC facilities by ensuring hardware/propellants are available for planned activity.
Effectively communicates with engineering/technician staff to resolve logistical issues as they arise.
Coordinates activity across multiple disciplines to meet project technical and schedule needs.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level:
Performing technical research in support of procurement activities and coordinating effort with external suppliers;
Performing logistics for propulsion test activities ensuring project requirements (e.g. schedule, cost) are met; and
Communicating technical information to engineers or technicians.

Probationary Period
