A leading 495-bed acute care hospital in West Texas is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Physicians to join a high-volume, well-supported surgical program. This Level II Trauma Center is expanding services and will support a new surgical residency program launching July 2026, offering a strong academic and clinical environment. Program Highlights: Level II Trauma Center495-bed full-service acute care hospital Anticipated Annual Volumes: Trauma Activations: 1,618Trauma Admissions: 1,006 Acute Care Surgery (ACS) Operative Volume: 473 Active development of a residency training program (launching July 2026)Collaborative, multidisciplinary care model with strong hospital support Schedule & Coverage Model: Total Annual Shifts: 151 (approx. 12–13 shifts/month)Trauma Coverage: 91 in-house days per yearACS/Backup Coverage: 60 shifts annually12-hour ACS coverage + 12-hour backup30-minute call-back response timeOptional backup shifts available (~125 annually)  Compensation & Benefits: Competitive compensation.
