recruiting an Addiction Psychiatrist physician to join their psychiatry residency program at
Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Opportunity to work with Mary Alice
O’Dowd, M.D., a leader in the field of psychiatry for decades. Live and work in the charming
seacoast area in tax-free New Hampshire or commute from nearby cities in Massachusetts and Maine.
This is a new service line Portsmouth Regional Hospital is providing for the residency
program.Qualified Candidates:
Licensed to practice in New HampshireCompleted an accredited residency
programFellowship trained in Addiction Psychiatry preferred, but not requiredCertified and
recertified (if applicable) by the American Board of Psychiatry2 years of experience as a core
faculty member in an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program preferred, but not
requiredDevelop a service line for patients and curriculum for residentsMix of Inpatient and
Outpatient, IOPCandidates must have strong team building, interpersonal, and communication
skillsAdditional characteristics of qualified applicants include adaptability, creativity, as well
as enthusiasm for teaching and quality patient care
