BLS and ACLS certifications. Prior experience in perioperative or PACU nursing preferred. Knowledge of orthopedic surgical procedures and patient care standards. Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment. Responsibilities: Prepare orthopedic patients for surgery and ensure proper preoperative assessments. Monitor patients in PACU after surgery, including vital signs, pain management, and recovery from anesthesia. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians. Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records. Educate patients and families on postoperative care, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations. Follow infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
