Learn more about this agency Duties The Sales Associate serves as a primary customer service representative for The Marine Shop (TMS), delivering world-class customer service with an emphasis on professionalism, courtesy, and responsiveness. This position¿s primary responsibility is supporting customers through call center operations, ensuring a positive and seamless customer experience across all communication channels.In the call center function, the associate responds promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication platforms, providing accurate information, resolving issues, and processing orders as required. The associate conducts follow-up communications as needed, maintains accurate customer and transaction records, and demonstrates strong communication skills and professionalism to build customer trust and satisfaction.Supports retail floor operations during periods of increased demand. Greets customers, assists with product selection, provides knowledgeable recommendations, and processes transactions accurately and efficiently. Maintains a clean, organized sales environment and supports merchandising, inventory, and restocking activities to ensure smooth store operations.Expected to demonstrate an ¿I can do that¿ mindset, proactively working to resolve customer needs and elevate issues when appropriate. As a representative of both the Marine Corps and TMS, the associate upholds high standards of professionalism and serves as a brand ambassador in all interactions.The position requires the ability to remain current on products, promotions, and store initiatives, and to contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.The associate adheres to all safety regulations, promptly reports hazards or incidents, and complies with EEO policies and workplace standards. This is a mixed-duty position requiring the ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs. independently and heavier items with assistance.Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of experience working in customer-facing operations is required. Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sales systems, basic math and register experience are required. Good communication and interpersonal skills, strong customer service skills, and a positive, friendly attitude. Ability to read and understand operating standards and procedures and work within the position to execute these standards properly and coach others within the team to do so with a high degree of skill and confidence. Ability to work in a high-performance atmosphere with commitment to service and sales goals. Flexibility to work weekends, early mornings, and evenings as needed. Some travel may be required. Attention to detail is required.
