APPLICATION LIMIT: This vacancy announcement is limited to the first 50 applications received and will close at 11:59PM Eastern Time on the day that we receive the 50th application, or at 11:59PM Eastern Time on the listed closing date, whichever occurs first.  We encourage you to read this entire vacancy announcement prior to submitting your application.As a Human Resources Assistant, GS-0203-07, you will be responsible for:•    Codes and ensures accuracy of all personnel actions. •    Uses reporting software to research personnel records/data and submits information as needed for reports and data calls. •    Provides answers to recruiting HR-related questions and explains HR policies and procedures.  •    Develops recommendations for and implement improvements in the new employee orientation program.•   Work with greater indepence in determining appropriate methods/techniques to perform work and resolve problems. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Background Investigation is required. Qualifications Minimum Qualification RequirementsYou may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-07, if you possess the specialize experience, education, or a combination of the two.Specialized Experience for the GS-7One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-05 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments:1. Experience coding and processing various types of personnel actions ensuring accuracy and compliance.2. Experience scanning and uploading documents to employees' electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) or a similar system, ensuring that documents are legible and indexed in accordance with regulatory guidelines. 3. Experience providing assistance with on-boarding new employees.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). You do not need to provide separate narrative responses to these KSAs, as they will be measured by your responses to the occupational questionnaire (you may preview the occupational questionnaire by clicking the link at the end of the Evaluations section of this vacancy announcement).1.    Knowledge of local, state, or federal human resources regulations, principles, and policies.2.    Knowledge of personnel record keeping procedures and organizational structure to maintain personnel references. 3.    Skill in interpreting HR policies to provide advice/make recommendations.
