Summary
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Technician/Administrative Support Work Category at the Entry/Developmental Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA OC/DISA GLOBAL - BUSINESS OPERATIONS DIVISION (ORG RN11).

Duties
Provides control of persons entering and exiting the facility, directs to appropriate areas, and issues appropriate badges and access documentation.
Escorts uncleared personnel requiring access to the facility as needed.
Ensures constant manning of the Security Operations Center (SOC) and visitor desk positions.
Monitor facility alarm, badging and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems.
Performs routine, miscellaneous clerical support duties to ensure efficient office operations.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
This position requires a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
Drug Testing Position.
This is a Mission Essential position.
Shift work required. Shift hours will be: 1st shift (0630 - 1500), 2nd shift (1430 - 2300) and 3rd shift (2230 - 0700).
Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) is required.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-05, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Assisting with the development and execution of the integrated security or emergency programs, while performing related Emergency Management duties.
Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.
Education
GG-05 Substitution of Education for Experience: four full years above high school may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement. If you are using education to substitute for the qualifying experience, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply.
To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education .
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application. This position is in the Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system.
If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment.
This appointment does not confer eligibility to be non-competitively converted to an appointment in the competitive service.
Accepting this position, you may be required to serve 3 years during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
Telework availability will be based upon the mission requirements and supervisory determination.
Individuals tentatively selected for drug testing designated positions at the Defense Information Systems Agency will be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment or placement.

This position has been designated as "Mission Essential." Incumbent will be required to report to work or relocate to a new duty location, within the United States, in times of local/national emergency.
Employee is subject to recall or call back during off-shift hours, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, if required by upper management.
This position has been identified as a Defense Security Position (DSP) in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) Manual 3305.13-M, "DoD Security Accreditation and Certification" and selectees will be required to meet the certification requirements of the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) program. As such, the individual selected for this position must obtain and/or maintain a Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC). Upon appointment to this position selectees will have two years to meet the applicable SPeD certification requirements and will be required to sign a statement acknowledging the SFPC requirements and agreeing to permit the DoD to access and monitor the certification qualifications associated with this position. Because this position is in the Cyber Excepted Service, Veterans' Preference will be applied to preference eligible candidates, as defined by Section 2108 of the Title 5 U.S.C. in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 3005, "CES Employment and Placement."
