Job Description

Summary This position is part of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), with the Office of Finance and Portfolio Management, Budget and Resource Planning Division. The incumbent will support the agency's Budget Officer, by aligning the analysis and management of operational data with our strategic direction. You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability in all of the following:1. Application of all phases of the Federal budget process including interagency coordination, Federal appropriations law, and an understanding of Treasury policies, and OMB policies, circulars, directives, and regulations;2. Experience with the Congressional budget process and3. Developing strategies of budget presentation to develop budget justifications and reports which will be accepted by OMB and relevant Congressional appropriations committees. Note: Education is not substitutional at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional information Salary will be based upon the locality pay areas, as defined by OPM, and will be adjusted based upon the selectee's duty location. This position is eligible to be 100% remote. The option to work out of the DFC's office in downtown Washington, DC is available to candidates who are interested. If applicants select Washington, DC as their preferred duty station, the selectee will be expected to report to the office and follow the agency's telework policy.
