APP (NP/PA) Needed for General Surgery Coverage

Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – General SurgeryLocation: Pennsylvania Schedule: Fridays: 4:00 PM – 7:00 AM Saturdays & Sundays: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (Rounding from 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM) Shifts/Month: Approx. 20 shifts On-Call: No Key Responsibilities: Floor Management: Perform daily rounds, place orders, document progress notes, and collaborate with attending physicians and nursing staff. Handle patient discharges with proper instructions, summaries, and orders. Bedside Procedures: Conduct dressing changes, remove drains/NGTs, and perform other bedside tasks. Consults & Admissions: Evaluate and manage ER admissions and inpatient consults, performing comprehensive physical exams and operative planning. Operative Assistance: Serve as the first assistant in general surgery cases (open, laparoscopic, and robotic). Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients. Requirements: Licensure: Active Pennsylvania license required. Board Certification: Board Certified NP or PA. Certifications: BLS and CPR required. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. DEA Certification: Required.
