Job Description
Orlando Health is seeking a full-time  Colorectal Surgeon with particular interest in Inflammatory
Bowel Disease attending physician for our Orlando Health Colon and Rectal Institute.
Applicants must
be fellowship trained with Board Certification in Colon and Rectal Surgery, and be eligible for
licensure/work in the state of Florida. Responsibilities include in-patient and out-patient
surgical and endoscopic services, in-patient and consultation service, out-patient clinics, clinical
research, and training of fellows. Expertise and interest in the surgical management of complex
conditions secondary to inflammatory bowel disease is necessary. Ideal candidates are leaders in
their field. Have a track record of education and experience with multi-disciplinary care.
The
Orlando Health Colon and Rectal Institute is a division of the Orlando Health Cancer Institute that
has an established clinical research program, an accredited Colon and Rectal Surgery fellowship
program and a non-accredited Minimally Invasive fellowship program. There is a robust Digestive
Health Institute with a world class team of gastroenterology specialists. In addition to oncology,
surgical oncology and radiation oncology departments. We also have a large integrative medicine
department which includes cancer support community and a medical genetics team. The Cancer Institute
includes divisions of surgical, medical, and radiation oncology, with a sub specialized focused on
cancer care, serving the patients with our tertiary center downtown, as well as services at our 4
regional cancer institutes throughout central Florida. Â Â The Cancer Institute provided care to
11,000 new patients and 90,000 follow up visits last year.
Role Requirements:
Board Certified/Board
Eligible in Colorectal Surgery.
Unrestricted FL medical license (or ability to obtain one) and
DEA.
Not a J-1 visa sponsored position
