Possesses or has possessed a Contracting Officer’s Warrant & Other Transaction Agreement Warrant2. Has experience leading complex source selections as a Contracting Officer.3. Has experience working with Major Defense Acquisition Programs & Service Category AcquisitionsThis position is considered an Acquisition Workforce (AWF) position under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Accordingly, the position's occupant must be certified with the appropriate DAWIA certification based on mission requirements for the position. If the selectee does not currently possess the required DAWIA certification upon entry into the position, selectee will be given 36 months to achieve certification. This position requires DAWIA Contracting Professional Certification. (Only for 1102 positions): Applicant must meet the following Department of Defense qualification requirements for 1102 contracting positions: https://www.acq.osd.mil/asda/dpc/news/docs/2020/USA001769-20-DPC.pdfThis is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) which requires the following position requirements prior to selectee assignment: 1. DAWIA Contracting Professional Certification or equivalent certification, 2. 4 years of acquisition experience, 3. must execute 3-year tenure agreement. The selectee must meet DAWIA and acquisition experience requirements at the time of assignment unless a waiver is granted by DIA’s Senior Acquisition Executive. **PLEASE NOTE: The language in this section regarding DAWIA certification supersedes legacy language found in the "Position Requirements" section of this vacancy announcement and only applies to the GG14 & GG15 grade levels.**

DIA positions are Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) positions in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601. All applicants must be U.S. citizens at the time of application. Applicants must meet the agency’s conditions of employment, to include, but not limited to, satisfactory completion of an initial special background investigation and periodic reinvestigation, completion of any required medical examination and physical requirements, completion of any required personal interviews, favorable completion of any required initial or aperiodic polygraph examinations, completion of any required drug test, satisfactory completion of a two-year Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System trial period, and completion of a civilian mobility agreement. All employees are required to sign an agreement not to disclose, in any fashion, classified information to unauthorized persons. All civilian employees are required to participate in the DoD Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer of Pay (DD/EFT) Program. DIA employees and applicants for employment are protected by federal laws, from discrimination. Employees and applicants are also protected against retaliation.
