Summary This position is located at McCoy's Community Center. The McCoy's Community Center Team provides high-quality service and a place to unwind for the Fort McCoy Community. This is an open continuous announcement to provide a ready pool of available applicants as needed. List will be issued at management's request throughout the announcement timeframe. Learn more about this agency Duties Follows established procedures in operating a full-service bar, mixing and serving a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips. Receives and checks quantity and description of stock. Stocks bar, utensils, equipment and keeps work area clean and sanitary. Keeps record of quantities of beverages dispensed and submits requirement for re-stocking to supervisor. Uses tact and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxicated. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position to include a physical. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually. Regularly lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. Standing for long period of time. Must be 18 years of age by date of appointment to meet state age requirements for position. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors. Uniforms and name tags are provided and required. Seven-day operation and shift will primarily be evenings and weekends. Shift may vary due to mission. Nights, weekends and holidays are required. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcohol at the time of appointment. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds. Possess math skills necessary to calculate bills and take inventory. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages is required. Ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
